How do I book an appointment?

What happens during my appointment?

Your 30-minute consultation provides dedicated time with an experienced GP to discuss your symptoms or health concerns, undergo a physical examination where appropriate, and receive a personalised care plan. Your GP may recommend further tests, issue a prescription, or arrange a referral to a private specialist.

Do I need to be registered with an NHS GP to use OAS Medical?

Accepted Answer

No. You do not need to be registered with an NHS GP to book an appointment with us. However, we do recommend that all patients maintain registration with an NHS practice for ongoing and emergency care.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment, provided by telephone or email. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend, will be charged at the full consultation fee.

What tests and diagnostics do you offer?

We offer a range of on-site diagnostics including blood tests, ECGs, health screenings, urine tests, spirometry, and STI checks. These are not included in the consultation fee and additional charges apply. Your GP will discuss any recommended tests and associated costs during your appointment.

Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. 
Thursday and Friday: 8:30 AM – 10:00 PM. 
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

All three appointment types are available across all opening hours.

What services does OAS Medical offer?

OAS Medical provides private GP consultations via three formats: face-to-face appointments at our Norwich clinic, telephone consultations, and online video consultations. We also offer a range of on-site diagnostics including blood tests, ECGs, health screenings, urine tests, spirometry, and STI checks.

Can you issue prescriptions?

Yes. Private prescriptions can be issued where clinically appropriate at a charge of £29 per prescription. Please note that we are unable to prescribe controlled drugs (Schedules 1–3). Prescriptions can be collected from your local pharmacy.

Yes. Your GP can provide a private referral letter to a specialist of your choice at a charge of £29. Please note that we are unable to refer patients directly into NHS pathways.

What should I do in a medical emergency?

OAS Medical does not provide emergency medical care.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or loss of consciousness, please call 999 immediately or attend your nearest Accident and Emergency department.

How much does an appointment cost?

Telephone and online video consultations are £100 for a 30-minute appointment. Face-to-face consultations are £125. All appointments are self-pay. Prescriptions and referral letters incur an additional charge where applicable.

Will my NHS GP be informed about my visit?

With your consent, we will send a summary of your consultation to your registered NHS GP. This helps ensure continuity of care across your medical records.

Do you accept health insurance?

OAS Medical is a self-pay clinic. We do not currently accept private health insurance. Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
